Our theme for this unit was “Who we are” - how we grow and change. This was almost our last unit in PIEP before joining the primary school, and we wanted to look back and forward to see how much we grew and, how we did it, how our bodies and mind have changed. Also, Gamma students will be joining primary school soon, so we inquired into it by raising questions about life in primary school, talking about different rules and drills, and the difference between our schoolbags and primary student ones.
We also imagined ourselves in the future and wondered what we will be when we grow up the functions in the society the different jobs have and how everybody is useful for the world around us to work demonstrating to ourselves that everyone is valuable.
We also imagined ourselves in the future and wondered what we would be when we grew up. What are the functions the different jobs have in society, and how everybody is helpful to the world around us? We know that everyone is valuable.
After understanding how we arrived here and what we wanted to be, we started to look into our near future in primary school. We inquired about what we would find in our future school bag and what a day in primary school would be like, in terms of disciplines and responsibilities.
We finished our unit by asking ourselves what it means to be responsible and answering the questions
- Am I responsible?
- How can I be more responsible?
Then we answered by mapping the activities we took action over and drew what kind of duties we could take responsibility for both at home and school.
